________ Robert De Niro is an american actor, director and producer. He was born on August 17, 1943 in New York. He has worked with famous directors, such as Martin Scorsese, Brian de Palma, Sergio Leone, and Bernardo Bertolucci. He's considered as one of the greatest and most enigmatic actors of all times.


________ He grew up in an Italian-Irish catholic family. When he was young, he already knew he wanted to be an actor, so he went to famous drama schools : He was student at the Stella Adler Conservatory, an acting school in New York, and at the American Workshop. Then he came to the Actors Studio, directed by Lee Strasberg.


________ He started his career on Broadway, before discovering the environment of cinema, and playing in his first movie untitled Greetings, realised by Brian De Palma in 1968. Then he made small roles in movies which wouldn't be very known by the public. He started becoming famous with Bang the Drum Slowly in 1973, and it's also in 1963 that started his collaboration with Martin Scorsese, with Mean Streets. Then he played in movies like Taxi driver (1976), Raging Bull (1980), the Goodfellas (1990), Cape Fear (1991) and Casino (1995).


________ Since the 80's, he has played in comedies such as Midnight Run (1988), Analyze This (1999), or Meet the parents (2000), and has had a huge success.  


________ He has won an Oscar for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for The Godfather : Part II in 1975, and an Oscar for Best Actor in a Leading Role for Raging Bull.


________ In 1991, he created his production company Tribeca Productions, named after Tribeca, the neighborhood where De Niro lives.
